2026 End-of-Season Wrap Up (long version)

Dear Team Tritons Families,

Wow - can you believe how quickly the summer swim season flew by?

Congratulations to all of our Little Tritons and Tritons Swim Team swimmers! You should be incredibly proud of everything you accomplished this season. We watched each of you grow in confidence, improve your skills, and, hopefully, achieve many of your personal goals.

While practices and meets have wrapped up, there's still plenty of summer left to enjoy at the pool! Be on the lookout for information about our Winter Swim program, which will be coming soon. If your swimmer is interested in a year-round swim option, please reach out to me. I'd be happy to connect you with an experienced year-round swim family to help you explore the possibilities.

Our end-of-season party was a huge success! A heartfelt thank you to Vega and the Events Committee for organizing a fantastic pizza and pasta dinner and extending our pool time so everyone could celebrate together. Thank you to Ryan Defrees for grilling our final swim team hamburgers and hot dogs, and to our Concessions Team for donating the drinks and chips.

As we close out the swim team season, I'd like to recognize the amazing volunteers who make the Tritons possible. Swim meets simply do not happen without your dedication, and our team is Tritons strong because of each of you.

Amy Lasut – Volunteer Coordinator
This is one of the most important behind-the-scenes roles on our team. Amy leads by example, and throughout the season she and her husband, Mike, stepped into countless volunteer positions whenever they were needed. Thank you, Amy, for keeping our volunteer efforts organized and our team running smoothly.

Stephanie Defibaugh-Chavez – Data Coordinator
Stephanie's contributions extended far beyond managing meet data. She also served as the Division 16 Data Coordinator, updated our team records board, and helped me prepare our weekly improvement ribbons. Stephanie, thank you for everything you did to support our swimmers and families throughout the season.

Suzi Hiscock – Announcer
Thank you, Suzi, for all of your preparation and for keeping our home meets moving efficiently. The partnership between the announcer, Clerk of Course, Head Timer, and Referee is critical to the success and pace of every A/B Home Meet.

Our Clerk of Course Team – Anne Finerfrock, Toya Kelley, and Brad Snyder
This team kept our swimmers organized, informed, and where they needed to be. It's a fast-paced, often hectic job, but they handled the swimmers with care and made it look easy.

Amy Johnson – Head Timer
Amy's experience and teamwork with our Referee, Bill Hiscock, helped ensure our meets ran smoothly and efficiently. Thank you, Amy, for your leadership and positive attitude.

Bill Hiscock – Referee and Shane Storer - Starter
Thank you, Bill, for your commitment to running safe, fair, and efficient meets throughout the season. Thank you, Shane Storer, for being our Starter this season. We are grateful for the time and dedication you brought to every home meet.

Thank you to all of our stroke and turn judges, runners, marshals, relay takeoff judges, equipment manager, concessions volunteers, awards and table workers, and our meet/ concessions setup and breakdown crews. Every position matters, and every volunteer contributed to making this season a success. Your time, patience, flexibility, and support made an enormous impact on our team and for our swimmers.

Finally, I want to give a very special shoutout to Harold "Rockstar" Muniz for serving alongside me as Team Rep this season. Team Rep is a nonstop job that requires grit, stamina, energy, flexibility, and a positive attitude - and Harold embodies all of those qualities. Thank you for riding the wave with me this season. I truly couldn't have done it without you.

Thank you to every swimmer, parent, coach, and volunteer for making the 2026 Tritons season one to remember. Watching our swimmers grow - not just in the water, but as teammates and friends - has been a privilege.

Have a safe, fun, and relaxing rest of the summer. We look forward to seeing many of you back at the pool for winter swim and next summer.

Go Team Tritons!
