Team Tritons! Tritons Strong—it's who we are and it was on full display this evening!

Tonight, our team competed in the IM Carnival, and our swimmers did an awesome job. We had 41 Tritons complete their Individual Medley, and we couldn't be prouder of the effort and growth displayed by everyone who raced.

Highlights of swimmers who achieved impressive time drops:

• Violet Cahill (11-12)– dropped an incredible 11 seconds!
• Jazzy Snyder (9–10) – dropped over 6 seconds!
• Ellie Hiscock (11–12) – dropped over 14 seconds!
• Ashley Robinson (15–18), Henry Salzer (11–12), and Caroline Salzer (9–10) – each dropped more than 4 seconds!
• Jack Finerfrock (11–12) – dropped more than 5 seconds!
• Joseph Aaronson (11–12) – dropped almost 5 seconds!
• Liya Mahdere (9–10), Brooklyn Malecki (13–14), Lily Do (13–14), and Muriel Togbe (13–14) – each dropped nearly 2 seconds!
• Veena Saputo and Hailey Tran – each dropped over 1 second!

Another fun highlight of the evening: brothers Grant and Carson Thornton were one of three sets of siblings to swim in the same IM heat!

These accomplishments are a great reminder of where our swimmers started and how far they've come this season. Every practice, every race, and every bit of hard work has made a difference. Your work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership not only improve your own performances but also inspire your teammates to do their best.

As if the IM Carnival wasn't exciting enough, once the meet concluded our Tritons had the opportunity to complete the relay events that couldn't be finished during Saturday's A meet against Rutherford. Both teams swam the remaining 7 relay events, but in a unique format! Laurel Hill swam in Lane 3 at one pool while Rutherford swam in Lane 4 at another pool, racing the clock rather than each other side-by-side.

I can honestly say these were some of the most exciting Laurel Hill relays I've seen, and I'm sure Coach Kathleen's voice will be sore tomorrow from all the cheering!

The final team score was:

• Rutherford – 213
• Laurel Hill – 203

While the score was close, we are incredibly proud of our swimmers for showing up motivated and ready to race. Your attitude and determination represented Laurel Hill with pride.

A deep, heartfelt thank you to the Springboard and Springfield swim teams for staying after the IM Carnival to cheer loudly, volunteer, and support our Laurel Hill swimmers. Your sportsmanship and generosity helped make the evening even more special.
